AMMOULIANI ISLAND, GREECE – Turquoise waters and fine sand

Ammouliani is a small island in Northern Greece, located at the northern end of the Gulf of Mount Athos – between the second (Sithonia) and the third arm (Mount Athos) on the Halkidiki peninsula. It is located 130 km from Thessaloniki and three nautical miles from the port of Tripiti, and the journey takes no more than 20 minutes. During the summer season, the ferry departs in about an hour and docks at the port of the only village of Ammouliani. Approaching this miniature island you will notice many beaches with fine sand and impenetrable rocks alternate along the coast.

The atmosphere of the island of Ammouliani is extremely calm and ideal for relaxation and summer vacation, as this beautiful place offers dozens of beaches with turquoise waters and a very summer mood. Water sports enthusiasts will be pleasantly surprised by the good opportunities for photo hunting, diving and kayaking on the small uninhabited islands around Ammouliani. It is also suitable for camping fans – Alikes and Ammouliani, who are more youthful, because the places are more limited and the bars remain noisy until late at night. If you are looking for peace of mind, rather bet on one of the coastal hotels or guest houses in the town of Ammouliani or in Ouranoupoli. There are family taverns and grocery stores everywhere to buy some food. The prices are normal as for Greece, and the amazing service of the Greeks will make you happy wherever you stay.

The beaches are sheltered, without big waves and most of the bays have small ports where you can enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of the island.
