POLYGYROS, CENTRAL HALKIDIKI
Polygyros is the capital of Halkidiki, located at the southwestern slope of Mount Holomondas, 70 km southeast of Thessaloniki. According to history, this is considered to be the site of the ancient settlement of Apollonia, which existed in the past.
